LAHORE: The financial crisis of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has benefitted the Pakistan Railways (PR) as the first priority for passengers following the cancellation of domestic flights is to go by train. Statistics show that due to an increase in the sale of tickets, improvement has been noticed in the PR’s revenue. The department has earned over Rs13 billion in the first three months and 20 days of the ongoing financial year, 2023-24; over Rs1 billion more than the target.
