SWAT: An important meeting of the district anti-polio committee held here on Friday with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Swat Dr Qasim Ali in the chair, reviewed ongoing polio and immunization drives under the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Muhammad Saleem, Staff Officer, divisional EPI Officer, Deputy District Education Officer (Male) and other concerned officers attended the meeting. According to a statement, the forum held a detailed discussion regarding the campaign and the progress of the EPI program in the district. It was decided to formulate a focusing developing action plan for further improvement in the drive against the polio eradication and immunization of the children in Swat. The DC Swat Dr Qasim Ali issued instructions to quarters concerned to launch a comprehensive public awareness campaign in the district to educate the general public about the prevention of Congo virus. He also directed that necessary steps should be taken for the prevention to protect themselves from the possible effects of Congo virus. DLP Report
