PESHAWAR: Another Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader has parted ways with the party just two days after Bilawal Bhutto visited Peshawar. Ziaullah Afridi, the Provincial Secretary Finance, announced on Tuesday he is leaving the party. Afridi’s resignation was formally communicated through a written letter addressed to the acting president of the party. The resignation cited personal reasons and a desire to retire from current responsibilities within the party. Ziaullah Afridi, a prominent figure within the People’s Party, has been a key player in the province’s political landscape, making his departure significant. It is notable here that two other members of PPP, Asma Alamgir and Arbab Alamgir have already resigned from the PPP. The two former party members reported differences with party leaders as reasons for resignations, indicating a potential internal rift. DNA
