ISLAMABAD
Supreme Court (SC) will hear the cases of Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s cipher bails on December 22.
A three-member regular bench headed by Justice Sardar Tariq Masood will conduct the hearing.
Notices have been issued to the parties.
Trial of the most important bails will be held despite the winter holidays.
It may be recalled that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had filed a challan in the court on September 30, allegedly asking Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to reveal the secret text of the cipher under Sections 5 and 9 of the Official Secrets Act. He was declared the main accused in the case of losing the cipher.
FIA cited 27 witnesses in the challan, main witness Azam Khan has already testified before FIA against Imran Khan.
Azam Khan in his statement siad that Imran has used cipher to divert public attention from the no-confidence motion he was facing as Prime Minister.
