Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Akhter Hayat Khan on Tuesday inaugurated a modern command and control centre at the city police station Charsadda.
IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan attended the Police Martyrs Memorial and offered special prayers for the high status of the martyrs and national security. He also planted a sapling in Police Headquarters Charsadda.
District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda Nazir Khan while giving a briefing regarding the command and control center said that cameras have been installed at all entrances and exits of the district as well as markets and different points in Charsadda, day and night in the command and control center.
Police jawans are performing duty, after the establishment of command and control center in Charsadda, initially 142 cameras have been connected to this system, in the first phase all the bazaars of Charsadda, Farooq Azam Chowk, Mardan Road, Kaladhir Chowk, Sardheri Bazar.
HE informed that cameras have been installed on the main highways, Ghani Khan Road, which is often traveled by tourists and foreigners, all police installations, all police stations, outposts, DPO offices, SDPO offices across the district.
Police lines and traffic checkpoints have been connected to the command and control center.
With the establishment of a command and control center in Charsadda, complete prevention and detection of crimes, protection of life and property and reputation of the people and close monitoring of terrorist elements including habitual criminals, traffic flow.
Police chief also visited DRC Charsadda and met with DRC Chairman Major (Retd) Naeem Jan and other members.
