Former cricketer Waqar Younis expressed deep concern about Pakistan’s Test bowling attack and said that Shaheen Afridi should try to restore momentum in series against Australia.
If he continues to play like this he will become medium pacer.Waqar
In an interview, the former captain said that everyone in Australia used to be excited about the performance of Pakistani fast bowlers, this time there is no such thing, I am seeing medium pacers, slow medium pacers and all rounders, no real fast bowlers.
He said that fans used to come to the stadiums to see Pakistani fast bowlers bowling at a speed of 150 km, this time I did not see anything like that.
One of the reasons for my concern is that he continued, even in domestic cricket, there are no fast bowlers, some are injured, but in the past, if there was such a situation, there was no shortage of substitute bowlers, unfortunately the situation is different now.
Waqar Younis said that I can’t say for sure what is Shaheen Shah Afridi’s problem, sometimes he was able to get swing while bowling at 145.
If they continue to play like this, they will remain as medium pacers, they are getting a little swing but if they do not have speed, they will not be able to get wickets, Waqar Younis said.
Waqar Younis further said that Pakistan could have increased the pressure on the host team by taking advantage of the opportunities in the Perth Test but it could not be done.
