72-year-old coldness record was broken this month of winter in Beijing, the capital of China.
According to media reports, the temperature in Beijing remained below minus 10 degrees Celsius for 9 consecutive days, which is the first time since 1951 that the temperature in Beijing remained below minus 10 degrees Celsius for 9 days.
Apart from this, the northern and northeastern parts of China are under the grip of severe frost, while the temperature has dropped to minus 40 degrees Celsius in some areas.
According to media reports, a severe cold wave has hit most parts of China this month. Due to the severe cold, the life system in central China’s Henan Province has been severely affected, where heating plants have also been shut down.
