SYDNEY
Australian Prime Minister also supported the reaction of cricketer Usman Khawaja in support of the oppressed Palestinians against the Israeli aggression in Gaza. Before the start of the Pakistan-Australia Test match in Sydney, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese held a dinner in honor of both the teams. He congratulated Usman Khawaja on his courage of standing up for human values and said that fact is that the team supported him.
While the Australian Prime Minister’s words have brought relief to Usman Khawaja, after the important meeting of Cricket Australia at his request, he was also allowed to place a peace flag on the bat during the Big Bash match this season.
In the invitation given by the Australian team in honor of both the teams, along with the players of the Pakistan cricket team, the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Board, Zaka Ashraf and the CEO Salman Naseer also participated.
Apart from this, the officials of the Australian cricket team and the board were also present on the occasion, Zaka Ashraf and former Test fast bowler Glenn McGrath also met in the event.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that it is hoped that the Pakistan team will play good cricket in Sydney as well as in Melbourne.
