Mayor Mardan, Himayatullah Mayar wrote a letter to secretary local government to take action against more than 12 officers of 18th and 17th scale for not taking interest in their duties, sources said.
Sources added that Mayor Mardan Himayatullah Mayar wrote a letter No. 434 dated 28th December 2023 to the Secretary, Local Government, LGE&RDD, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar. Himayatullah Mayar stated in the latter that more than 12 officer of 17 and 18th scale including Naveed Khan 18th scale Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO), Ayaz Mehmood 18th scale Tehsil Officer (TO) (Finance), Ali Raza 18th scale Tehsil Officer (TO) (Regulation), Shakeel Ahmad 18th scale Assistant Tehsil Officer (ATO) (Finance), Fakhra Gul 17th scale District Architect (DA), Muneer Khan 17th scale Tehsil Officer (I&S), Nigar-un-Nabi 17th scale Assistant Tehsil Officer (I&S), Ajmal Khan 17th scale Assistant Tehsil Officer (I&S), Muhammad Ismail 17th scale Chief Officer, Zulfiqar Khan 17th scale Administrative Officer, Jehanzeb Khan 17th scale Tax Superintendent, Muhammad Asif 17th scale Senior Surveyor of TMA Mardan are not taking interest in their legitimate duties and have shown their absence, late coming and early leaving to their offices and indiscipline, misconduct.
He further stated in the letter that their behavior has impaired the smooth functioning of all offices and disrupted the services delivery. Further, most of the officials in the lower cadres follow them.
The official decorum and ethics lacks in these offices which is tantamount to indiscipline and misconduct under the E&D Rules. They have been advised and warned at different times to be honest, disciplined and punctual towards their duties but in vain.
Hence the only option exists to approach your good self for initiation of disciplinary action against all these delinquent officers/officials of TMA Mardan.
