US supports establishment of independent Palestinian state: Anthony Blanken

United States (US) Secretary of State Anthony Blanken assured his full support for the establishment of a Palestinian state in a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. According to the World News Agency, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken arrived in Palestine after Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Israel on an important visit to the Middle East, where he met with the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. Discussions were held for a permanent solution and possible steps were also considered in this regard on which the parties also agreed.
In a conversation with President Mahmoud Abbas, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken assured of his support for the establishment of a free and independent Palestinian state and said that he stands with you on all matters related to it. For which Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked him. He said that it has always been our position that the Palestinian conflict can only be resolved through a two-state solution. However, President Mahmoud Abbas expressed fear that Israel would refuse to transfer tax funds to the Palestinian Authority. Although it is part of the ‘Oslo’ agreement.
In a meeting with the US Secretary of State, President Mahmoud Abbas stressed that Palestinian clearance funds need to be released immediately.
It should be noted that this is the fourth visit of the US Secretary of State during the ongoing Israel-Hamas war since October 7, in which he has held separate meetings with all parties to resolve the Palestinian issue.
