SCCI calls for equipping rescue institutions with modern vehicles and gadgets

Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Fuad Ishaq along with senior vice president Sanaullah Khan, vice president Ijaz Khan Afridi visited Time Centre in Saddar Bazar Peshawar wherein more than 200 shops and counters of mobiles and accessories burnt to ashes by yesterday’s inferno
The SCCI office bearers examined the damages of mobile phones, accessories and building, worth millions of rupees in yesterday’s horrific fire. The horrific fire engulfed the whole Time Centre Peshawar, said in a press release here on Wednesday.
During the visit, the SCCI chief and members of his cabinet were saddened over losses of millions of traders and shopkeepers and expressed sympathy with them.
The office bearers assured the SCCI will make all efforts to get compensation for the affected traders for their losses and restore their business by holding talks with provincial government and relevant authorities.
They added the chamber will play an effective role to provide relief to the affected traders and shopkeepers of the Time Centre Peshawar.
Fuad Ishaq while talking on the occasion stressed the need for taking initiatives to strengthen and equipping with modern technologies and tools to government rescue departments to cope effectively with fire incidents, emergency and calamities situation and prevent from huge human and financial losses.
The SCCI chief assured the affected traders’ of Time Centre Peshawar that the door of the chamber is open for them around the clock and will remain open and if they require assistance, should come to the chamber anytime so the chamber will utilize all resources to resolve their issues on priority grounds.
Office bearers of the chamber on the occasion offered prayers for early restoration of business of traders and shopkeepers, affected by yesterday’s horrific fire incident in Time Centre Peshawar.
