RAWALPINDI: The Josh Adabi Foundation and Josh Memorial Committee in collaboration with Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) organized a Literary Conference here to mark 124th birth anniversary of the revolutionary poet, Josh Malihabadi. Renowned scholar Dr. Ghazanfer Mehdi presided over the conference while famous fiction writer Hameed Shahid was chief guest. Addressing on the occasion Dr. Ghazanfer Mehdi said that the poetry of Josh had a vital place in Urdu literature. It was need of the time to promote literary work of the revolutionary poet. Hameed Shahid addressing the participants said, Josh was a poet of nature and due to his revolutionary ideas, he became famous forever.More research work on his poetry should be initiated which was the need of time, he added.
