LHC admits for hearing petition filed against usurping of basic human rights during PSL matches

Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has admitted for hearing the petition filed against usurping basic human rights in the name of security during PSL matches in Rawalpindi cricket stadium.
The petition was heard by Justice Jawad Hassan of LHC Rawalpindi bench Wednesday.
The court after preliminary hearing of the petition issued notice to the respondents and sought parawise replies.
The court issued these orders on the petition of senior lawyer Sajjad Akbar Abbasi.
The petitioner has made interior secretary, chief secretary Punjab. Deputy commissioner Rawalpindi, City police officer Rawalpindi, chief traffic officer Rawalpindi and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board respondents.
The petitioner took the plea that basic human rights are being ignored during holding of matches from March 2 to 10 in the name of security.
All the streets and stadium road have been blocked in the name of security.
The petitioner prayed the court to make bound the respondents to remove all barriers from cricket stadium road and the adjacent areas besides allowing the citizens movement.
