LAHORE: The petition filed by former Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi requesting the court to order to provide details of cases registered against him has been sent to chief justice Lahore High Court (LHC). Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf heard the petition Thursday. The petitioner has made IG Punjab and others respondents in the petition. The petitioner has taken the plea cases are being registered against former CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi on political basis. The petitioner prayed the court to issue order to provide details of cases registered against Pervaiz Elahi. The authorities be restrained from arresting Pervaiz Elahi in any new case unless the details of cases are provided. The counsel for Pervaiz Elahi requested the court to fix the petition in the court of Justice Amjid Rafiq. Another petition of the same nature is already pending hearing in the court of justice Amjid Rafiq. The court sent the file to Chief Justice LHC on the plea of Pervaiz Elahi that the case be fixed for hearing in some other bench. ONLINE
