Focal Person for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister in Tank Farhan Hakeem on Wednesday said a comprehensive plan was being made for development of Tank district.
He stated this during his visit to ‘Mehsud Press Club’ here where he also held meeting local journalists.
He said the government was aware of issues being faced by the people of Tank district, adding, the provincial government would address all deprivations of Tank by resolving their issues on priority.
The provision of all basic necessities including clean drinking water, health, education and others would be ensured. On this occasion, the journalists of Mehsud Press Club also shed light on the problems of Tank, saying, Tank was the most deprived district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where even basic facilities of life were not available for citizens. They demanded that necessary measures should be taken to ensure provision of clean drinking water to the citizens.
Moreover, they said construction of Tank Zam Dam was also inevitable as the district Tank always remain in flood threat due to climate change.
Once constructed, the Tank Zam Dam would completely protect Tank district from floods besides irrigating hundreds of thousands Kanals land, the journalists mentioned.
Apart from this, the constructions of the sports complex and a university were also need of the hour, they said.
The CM’s focal person assured them raising all their demands before the government and hoped that all the deprivations of Tank district would be addressed.
