RAC organizes walk, stage play to pay tributes to APS martyrs

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in collaboration with Nemat Foundation organized a walk followed by a stage play written & directed by Naheed Manzoor and a ceremony to pay a tremendous tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School (APS), Peshawar. Member National Assembly (MNA) and Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Akram who was chief guest on the occasion while addressing the ceremony said that APS Peshawar incident had united the whole nation adding every child of Pakistan is commander and leader of the country. She said that on December 16, 1971 Pakistan was divided in two parts and on December 16, 2014 same treason was tried to get occur again. She said that it was need of the time to recognize the enemy who is using our own people to sabotage the country. Wajiha Akram said that it was such kind of incident who melancholies the whole world. A stage play “Khak-e-Nasheman” written & directed by Naheed Manzoor was also presented to show solidarity with the parents of APS martyrs. Naheed Manzoor said that APS incident was a tragedy. Brig (R) Agha Hassan that sacrifices of the armed forces was survival of the country.
