ISLAMABAD
Islamabad Police have arrested 22 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from their possession.
Following the directions of SSP (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, all officials of Islamabad police have accelerated efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.
According to details,Sabzi Mandi police arrested Javid Butt involved in supplying narcotics in educational institutions and recovered 1340 gram hashish from him. Police also arrested accused Muhammad Waseem and recovered 1410 grams hashish from him. Noon police arrested accused Muhammad Sohaib and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from him.
Industrial-Area police arrested accused Rauf and recovered 15 liters wine from him.
Ramana police arrested five accused Yasir, Umer, Baber, Muhammad Abdullah, and Adil involved in illegally oil selling. Police also arrested accused Muhammad Arshad and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. Golra police arrested 03 accused Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Rizwan and Ajab Khan and recovered 250 gram heroin, Rifle 7mm from their possession.
Bani Gala police arrested accused Jaffar Abbas and recovered 45 gram hashish from him.
Bhara Khau police arrested accused Waqas Shabbir and recovered 10 liter wine from him.
Kohsar police arrested accused Farman and recovered 9mm pistol from him.
Aabpar police arrested six accused and recovered 70 liters wine from their possession.Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.SSP Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed has directed all Station
House Officers for effective crackdown against those involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace. He said that performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
He said that menace of drug peddling would not be allowed in educational institutions or anywhere and strict action to be ensured against those involved in such ugly business or activity.
The SSP also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
