Muhammad Imran discuss issues related arrears of Newspapers with CPNE, APNS heads

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Director General Information and Public Relations Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Imran, with Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) and (APNS) heads and representatives of various advertising agencies, here at Peshawar.
During the meeting Issues related to previous arrears of newspapers and advertisement agencies were discussed while in this regard, some proposals were also came under discussion for the solution of such issues.
On this occasion, provincial heads of CPNE Tahir Farooq, APNS Pir Haroon Shah, Deputy Director Advertisement Ibne Amin and relevant sections officials also attended the meeting.
The main purpose of meeting was disposal of the matter as per suggestions, issued by ITNE Islamabad to Information Department, wherein, it was stated that a reconciliation shall be made with newspapers and advertisement agencies regarding the previous arrears. In this regard, as per the special directives of Chief Secretary, on behalf of Information Department, the reconciliation process was thoroughly discussed by the forum.
Similarly, the meeting attendees of CPNE and APNS expressed that they are fully satisfied by the ongoing efforts of the department and hoped that it will bring better results for the solution of media outlets liabilities.
On this occasion the Director General Muhammad Imran told the meeting that the Information Department has raised the issue of media outlets and advertising agencies arrears on various forums and in this regard we are taking practical steps so that the liabilities of such organization make clear.
He added that the department is working on reconciliation with all his available resources and very soon the good news regarding provision of arrears will be come from the government.
He further said that the department is reconciling with all the departments and such progress reports also furnishes to Chief Secretary office which aims to complete this progress as soon possible.
The meeting participants appreciated the performance of department and hoped that they will receive a good news soon in this regard.
They showed full satisfaction over reconciliation process with departments and highlighted the efforts of department with positive remarks.
