Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) successfully hosted IT Day on Wednesday at the PEC Headquarters in Islamabad. The event, attended by over 120 esteemed guests, showcased the latest advancements in information technology and recognized the significant achievements of the PEC in its automation drive. The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a warm welcome note from the Head of IT.
The Registrar of PEC delivered remarks that highlighted the importance of IT in modern engineering practices. A major highlight of the event was the IT Documentary, which provided an insightful look into the various IT projects undertaken by PEC. The documentary underscored the Council’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into its operations. The inauguration of the Automation Drive marked a significant milestone in PEC’s journey towards digital transformation. This initiative aims to streamline PEC’s processes and improve overall efficiency.
Shields were distributed to honor distinguished guests and key contributors, including the Chief Guest Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Federal Minister for Science & Technology, Engr. Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan Registrar, PEC, Mr. Mubashar Ahmad Senior Director and the Head of IT and Mr. Aamir Waqas Director MIS. Certificates were also awarded to the dedicated officials for their outstanding work. Remarks by Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, Chairman of PECand Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Federal Minister for Science & Technology, further emphasized the critical role of IT in driving innovation within the engineering sector.
The event concluded with a networking session over Hi-Tea, providing an opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas and discuss future technological advancements and collaborations.
