The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council has condemned the murderous attack on lawyer Sajjad Hussain Shinwari and journalist Khalil Gibran in District Khyber wherein later was martyred in the attack while Advocate Sajjad Hussain was injured.
The office-bearers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council in a press statement issued here on Saturday said that Journalist Khalil Gibran Shaheed and lawyer Sajjad Hussain Shenwari were injured in an assassination attack a few days ago. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the incident.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council said that IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should form a team of competent police officers for a transparent inquiry into the incident. Steps should be taken to improve law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and protect lawyers and journalists, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council said.
