BADIN
The ongoing spell of monsoon rain lashed different cities and towns of district Badin. The rain also pounded district Badin, causing flooding in low-lying areas of the district, which paralyzed civic life.
The downpour and flooding damaged 1343 fully and 1681 partially thatched houses and huts in urban and rural areas of the district Badin. Standing crops and seedlings were also destroyed in different Union Councils of rain-hit Talukas including Badin, Tando Bago and Shaheed Fazal Rahu of district Badin.
When 04 causalities including three men and a child were also reported and 20 animals including goats, sheep and cows were also recorded.
Breaches in different canals/drains including Seerani drain, Shaikh Manzoor RD 70 & 71, 1 R Sim Nala, drain and A 30-foot-wide breach occurred in the Ameer Shah Sim Nala, Sim Nala Sanjar Chang, Murad Wah Chanel have occurred and more than 80 villages were submerged under water of the breaches and 3800 people have been shifted to the safer places themselves.
Several families living in coastal areas were reported to have been trapped within their marooned villages.
