Police arrest proclaimed offender

Acting on tip-off, Pishtakhara Police on Wednesday arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in murder case.
According to a statement issued from capital police, the Pishtakhara Police arrested the proclaimed offender in an operation conducted on secret information. The operation was carried out under the supervision of DSP Peshtakhra Sajjad Hussain, SHO Pushtakhra police station Umar Afridi along with other policemen.
The arrested proclaimed offender has been identified as Anwar Zeib son of Jahanzeb resident of Regi Lalma area of the provincial capital.
The arrested criminal was involved in deliberately firing on Zulfiqar which resulted in death of an eleven-year-old girl. After the incident, a case of murder was registered against the accused in Peshtakhara police station in the complaint of Abdul Rahim, the father of the deceased child Ferishta.
Similarly, during the second successful operation, SHO Peshtakhara police station Umar Afridi arrested two suspects involved in other crimes.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Gul Muhammad and Wasim Khan,
The police also recovered a number of Kalashnikovs, pistols and several cartridges from their possessions. They have also been arrested, against whom cases have been registered and investigations have been started on various aspects.
