Business leader and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Dr Shahid Rasheed Butt, said on Thursday that the twenty-sixth constitutional amendment would make the judicial system more active, its global ranking will improve, the common man would get relief, and the speed of economic development will increase.
He said that rapid economic development will benefit the masses and the government and the rate of unemployment will fall.
He added that the public and private sectors worldwide always try to improve their systems, and if this has happened in Pakistan, it is not something to be concerned about.
Shahid Rasheed Butt said in a statement issued here today that the development of the judicial system is a good move. Still, some elements are busy making it controversial, which is regrettable.
The business leader that the common man does not get justice in Pakistan, and even if someone does, there is a lot of delay, which damages the reputation of the judicial system.
He added that, apart from this, domestic and foreign investors were also apprehensive about the state of the judicial system, which caused investment in Pakistan to remain negligible while investors preferred other countries.
