Police claimed to have arrested a man suspected of killing his father following a dispute over household expenses.
The accused, Salman, allegedly shot his father, Ikramullah, on September 25, in Ghayasabad area of Peshawar, seriously injuring him.
Ikramullah succumbed to his injuries en route to the hospital.
The incident was initially reported by the victim’s father, Haji Syed Akbar, who filed a case at Bhanamani Police Station.
In response, SP City Ehsan Shah formed a special investigation team, led by DSP Yakatuth Circle Sher Afzal Khan and SHO Ajmal Hayat Khan, who tracked down and arrested Salman.
According to police, the accused admitted to the murder, describing it as a domestic dispute. Police said that further investigation is underway.
