Technical skills not only overcome the problem of unemployment but also play a vital role in the development of the country.
This was stated by Commandant Khyber Rifle Col Asim Aziz Keyani during his visit to Khyber Institute of Technical Education (KITE) center, Landi Kotal last day.
It is to be stated here that KITE has been established by Shahid Afridi Foundation with assistance of Khyber Rifles on August 07, 2024.
Highlighting the aims and purposes of the KITE, he said that in the present era, technical skill was inevitable for the progress of the country.
Take advantage of the opportunity and decorate themselves with technical education to become useful citizens of the country, he opined.
He called upon the learners to avail technical skills and play a vital role in the progress of the country.
Administer KITE Lieutenant Col Zainul Abdeen and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
Earlier, the Commandant Khyber Rifles met learners of various technical courses who apprised him of their problems and the visiting guest assured them of its resolution.
Technical skills have been provided to local youths (male-female) in the fields of computer operator, electrician, welding, motorcycle mechanic, dress making/embroidery in addition with soft skills including communication personality grooming, public speaking ,speech skills, problem solving methodology,English languages skills etc.
In the first batch a total of 84 students have completed their technical courses and have passed out while in the second batch 226 candidates are selected for the various courses in morning and evening classes.
