RAWALPINDI-The annual board meeting of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi was held here on Monday at the Commissioner’s Office.
Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin chaired the board meeting of the PHA Rawalpindi while Special Secretary Housing and Development Muhammad Tayyab, DG PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, Director Local Government and senior officials of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Office also attended the meeting.
The board meeting appreciated the performance of PHA in the year 2024 and directed to continue further steps regarding the recreational and tourist entertainment of the citizens and appreciated the initiatives of DG PHA Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha for upgradation of parks in Rawalpindi and Murree and appreciated the initiatives of PHA Rawalpindi for providing better recreational facilities to the citizens.
The participants also appreciated the initiatives and performance of Director General PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha for providing facilities to the public in parks of Rawalpindi city.
It was observed during the meeting that quality of entertainment facilities, cleanliness and proper trimming of the plants and shrubs have been updated and improved considerably. Similarly, the parks along the Murree Road have been upgraded and visitors particularly families have commended the work like pavements, sitting enclaves, flowers and fountains there.
The meeting was of the view that as next step the PHA should launch better recreational and tourism facilities to the citizens.
The best recreational facilities to the citizens are the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and PHA Rawalpindi is ensuring the best services in this regard, said Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin.
