Tributes were paid to senior journalist Musa Khan khel (Shaheed) on the occasion of his 16th death anniversary which was observed here on Tuesday at Swat Press club.
On this occasion, SP Investigation Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan, Traders Federation President Abdul Rahim Khan, Swat Union of Journalists President Syed Shahabuddin, Governing Body Member Fazal Rahim Khan, Ghafoor Khan Adil, Shahzad Alam and General Secretary Press club Muhammad Shafiullah and a large number of civil society members, political activists and youth paid glowing tribute to slain journalist Musa Khankhel for his professional and fearless reporting during militancy in Swat.
Addressing the ceremony, the speakers said that Musa Khankhel Shaheed was a fearless and courageous journalist and his role in establishing peace in Swat is remarkable. They said that Musa Khankhel Shaheed played his role in highlighting the problems of the Swati people without caring for his life, which is a matter of pride.
They said that we pay tribute to Musa Khankhel Shaheed and demand from the government to fulfill the promises made to the family of Musa Khankhel Shaheed and encourage them. On this occasion, renowned poet Zafar Ali Naz presented a poem about the life of the martyr and prayers were offered for the high ranks of journalists including senior journalist Siraj ud din shaheed, Qari Muhammad Shoaib and Abdul Aziz who rendered their life for peace and stability in the region.
