Various issues were discussed in tehsil council, meeting held in jirga hall, Landi Kotal last day. Under the head of Chairman Haji Shah Khalid, a large number of councilors including opposition members participated in the moot.
The councilors thoroughly discussed certain issues like closing of Pak-Afghan highway, tehsil share in provincial financial commission, price list etc.
Talking to the media persons tehsil Chairman Shah Khalid said that all members of the council demanded of the provincial government to release the budget, approved in provincial financial commission for the representatives of local bodies.
They also asked the federal government to bestow 110 billion rupees, specialized annually for the merged districts to bring the tribesmen level to the developed areas of the country.
The Tehsil Chairman said that on the eve of Ramazan, a certain decision was taken to keep the prices of necessary commodities in control.
The council unanimously elected Wali Muhammad as presiding officer.
