The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to PTI MPA Iftikhar Mashwani, ordering that he should not be arrested in any case.
A two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court, consisting of Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Aurangzeb Khan, heard the petition filed by PTI leader and Member of Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Mashwani regarding the details of the cases against him.
During the proceedings, the court granted Iftikhar Mashwani protective bail until April 15, ordering that he should not be arrested in any registered case. The court also sought a report from the Ministry of Interior and other relevant parties for the next hearing.
The petitioner’s lawyer argued that the petitioner is a member of the assembly. In response, Justice Sahibzada Asadullah remarked that the issue regarding the Omni bus has not been resolved yet, to which the lawyer replied that it would be resolved soon.
Justice Sahibzada Asadullah further stated that the details from FIA and NAB have been received. Deputy Attorney General Daulat Khan confirmed this, stating that only the Ministry of Interior’s report is pending, and a letter has been written to them regarding this.
The court adjourned further proceedings on the petition until April 15 and requested reports from the Ministry of Interior and other relevant parties for the next hearing.
