Traffic police crack down on violations, fine 3,239 offenders

On the instructions of Inspector General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, the City Traffic Police Peshawar launched a crackdown on traffic violations, imposing fines on 3,239 individuals last week for using fancy number plates, unregistered vehicles, and tinted windows.
Under the leadership of Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan, action was taken in various sectors of the city, resulting in fines for 383 motorists using tinted windows, 1,059 for driving unregistered vehicles and motorcycles, and 1,797 for using fancy number plates. The tinted windows and illegal number plates were removed on the spot.
Chief Traffic Officer Haroon Rashid Khan reaffirmed that the City Traffic Police Peshawar is committed to enforcing traffic laws strictly and will take legal action against violators. He emphasized that tinted windows and unregistered vehicles are banned, and no exemptions will be granted.
He urged citizens to comply with traffic laws and cooperate with the police, stating that adherence to regulations reflects responsible and patriotic citizenship.
