Administration asks illegal Afghanis to leave Landi Kotal

Like in other parts of the country, the administration asked Afghan nationals illegally residing in Landi Kotal to willingly leave the area and return back to their country or they will be forcibly expelled.
As per local administration approximately 1017 Illegal Afghan families residing in tehsil Landi Kotal.
Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Adnan Mumtaz said that Afghan families carrying Afghan Citizen Cards(ACC) or living without legal documents had been directed to go back to Afghanistan through Torkham border otherwise legal action would be taken against them.
The local administration official said that so far two families, one each from Landi Kotal and Bara tehsils willingly returned to their country following the expiry of the deadline, 31st March, 2025.
Deportation of illegal Afghan immigrants through Torkham crossing is underway and till last day 3053 Afghanis returned to Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, as per border security official vehicles loaded with valuables of the repatriated families without Temporary Admission Document (TED) were not permitted to cross the border and it unloaded in Torkham and then shifted it to the other side of the border through handcarts.
It is to be stated here that repatriation of illegal Afghan immigrants from various parts of the country has started after the expiry of deadline 31st March, 2025.
