Hidayat and Safa win KP Teqball Championship

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teqball Championship has concluded, Peshawar’s Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Safa Marwa won the trophy. More than fifty male and female players from all divisions of the province participated in the championship. Chief guests of the closing ceremony were Regional Sports Officer Peshawar Kashif Farhan, Chief Coach Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shafqatullah, Rahat Mian Chairman Pakistan Teqball Federation and Shafiq Ahmed Vice President KP Teqball Association.
Trophies and cash prizes of Rs. 50,000 were distributed among the players. Organizing Secretary Mian Absar Ali, Founder Techball Pakistan, Jahat Ali GS, KP Teqball Association, Akhtar Rasool, Vice President KP Teqball Association, Malik Faraz and Yasir Islam were present on this occasion.
The final of the three-day Teqball Championship was played between Hidayat of Peshawar and Jalaluddin of Chitral in which Hidayat won with 3-0 score. In the semi-finals, Hidayat defeated Hasnain Riaz of Mardan by 3-2, while Jalaluddin defeated Muneem Siddiqui of Peshawarby 3-2 to reach the final.
In the women’s final, Safa Marwa defeated Hina Khan by 3-1. Earlier, in the first semi-final, Hina defeated Nadia Khan, while Safa Marwa defeated Kainat Charsadda. Similarly, in the mixed doubles final, Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Safa defeated Nadia and Muneem by 3-2 to win the trophy. Chairman
Pakistan Teqball Federation, Rahat Mian, congratulated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teqball Association for organizing the successful event and also announced organizing National Championship in Peshawar soon, in which players from all over the country will participate.
