Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information, stated that during the Eid-ul-Azha cleanliness campaign, a total of 24,939 tons of animal waste and garbage were promptly and properly disposed of across the province. On average, 693 tons of waste were disposed of in each district, with a total of 10,779 personnel participating in the campaign. Barrister Saif added that a total of 1,289 complaints were received, all of which were addressed promptly and effectively. The large-scale cleanliness operation was completed at a remarkably low cost.
A total of PKR 78.5 million was spent on the campaign, averaging PKR 2.5 million per district, while in some districts, the cost was negligible.
Barrister Saif paid tribute to all staff involved in the campaign and conveyed appreciation on behalf of the Chief Minister to all relevant departments. He mentioned that the Chief Minister had instructed all concerned departments to remain on alert throughout the campaign and the cleanliness drive was successfully completed through effective coordination.
