Pakistan more strong & secure today than 2013: Govt taking concrete measures to stabilize crises, says PM
Lahore : “CPEC will serve as a game changer and will change the fate of the region. The projects included in CPEC will help overcome energy crisis. This way the business will boost up. An economic revolution will come due to this project and it will open new avenues of development”, he said this while talking to a delegation of traders in Governor House here Saturday.
PM apprised the traders of the steps being taken by the government for revival of economy saying sorting out the problems facing the traders community figures high in the priorities of the government as traders serve as backbone in the economy of every country and no country can make development without trade and investment.
“We are launching sincere efforts for addressing the problems facing the traders, he held.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reiterated that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a game changer and it will not only bring economic revolution in Pakistan but will also change the fate of the entire region.
The Premier was addressing business community members in Governor House Lahore here on Saturday. He said, “CPEC will open new paths of progress.”
PM Nawaz said, “PML-N government was making sincere efforts to redress the issues of business community.”
The incumbent government is trying to overcome the energy crisis in the country, adding that it will boot business in Pakistan.
“To root out the menace of terrorism, operation Zarb-e-Azb is underway successfully,” he said.
Governor Punjab Rafique Rajwana was also present.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is more economically strong and secure today as compared to 2013.
He was chairing a high-level meeting here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said PML-N government has put the county on path of progress and prosperity. He said the increasing foreign investment in the country would create more jobs.
Prime Minister said the government has achieved various successes on the economic front. He said economy of the country is strengthening and stabilizing.
He reiterated the resolve to continue efforts for further strengthening economy. Nawaz Sharif said reforms have been introduced to enhance investment in the country.
He said work on various projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is underway. He said CPEC will bring progress and prosperity in the entire region.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir and other high officials attended the meeting.
