PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally inaugurated modern facilities at the Peshawar IT Park, enabling youth and professionals to register their IT companies within 24 hours. The initiative, supervised by Special Assistant on Science and IT Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, aims to transform the province into a hub of modern technology and the digital economy, a handout said. Dr. Ayaz said the IT Park offers high-speed internet, advanced bandwidth, co-working spaces, dedicated offices, and a 25 per cent rental subsidy for IT companies. He added that training and certification programs will equip young professionals with international-standard skills. He emphasised that 30 per cent of spaces have been reserved for women, differently-abled persons, and the transgender community to ensure equal opportunities. The project, he said, will create employment, support startups, and position KP as a key player in Pakistan’s digital future. DLP Report
