PM departs for London after concluding his visit to

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has left for London from Riyadh following conclusion of his visit to Saudi Arabia.
At the airport, Riyadh’s Deputy Governor, Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz, bid farewell to the PM.
PM Shehbaz Sharif paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On his arrival in Riyadh, Saudi F-15 fighter jets escorted his plane in a grand welcome
On the occasion, the PM was also presented with a 21-gun salute and a guard of honor by contingents of the Saudi armed forces.
Subsequently, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a “Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA)” in Riyadh. The agreement was signed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The pact reflects the shared commitment of both nations to enhance their security and to work together for peace and stability in the region and beyond. It aims to strengthen defense cooperation and joint protection against any aggression.
According to the agreement, any act of aggression against one country will be considered an act of aggression against both.
According to official sources the decisions taken during the visit will not only deepen mutual trust between the two countries but will also lead to promote strategic partnership in future.
This visit took place at the time when security and economic changes are evolving on fast track basis. Pakistan has decided to make its diplomatic activities effective in this perspective.
Cordial talks with Saudi Crown Prince covered wide range of issues: PM
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said his cordial talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman covered a wide range of issues, reviewing regional challenges and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
In a post on his X handle, he said that he greatly values Mohammad Bin Salman’s consistent support and his keen interest in expanding Saudi investments, trade and business ties between the two countries.
He said it is his fervent prayer that Pakistan-Saudi Arabia’s friendship continues to flourish and attain new heights of glory.
The Prime Minister said he deeply admires Saudi Crown Prince’s vision and leadership that he provides to the Muslim world.
Shehbaz Sharif said he is deeply touched by the heartwarming welcome, accorded to him by Saudi Crown Prince. He noted that the unprecedented escort provided to his aircraft by the Royal Saudi air force jets along with the smartly turned out guard of the Saudi Armed Forces speaks volumes about the abiding love and mutual respect between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
