Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s spokesperson, Faraz Mughal, on Thursday announced that all preparations for the much-anticipated Azadi rally, scheduled to be held in Peshawar on September 27, have been completed.
In a statement, he said that containers have been placed at the rally venue, and all arrangements were being finalized to ensure smooth conduct of the event, adding that accommodation and food facilities have been arranged for workers traveling from other provinces. Separate accommodation for women workers has been organized in nearby marriage halls, he said and added that for the first time, an adequate number of washrooms have been arranged at the rally site to cater to the large crowd expected.
“The stage for the historic rally has been designed in three distinct parts, and a separate pathway is being created specifically for women attendees,” he said.
The CM’s spokesperson claimed that authorities expected millions of people to attend the Peshawar rally, and comprehensive preparations, including lighting arrangements, have been made to accommodate the massive turnout.
Faraz Mughal emphasized that all measures were in place to ensure a successful and well-organized Azadi rally on September 27.
