RAWALPINDI
Rawalpindi Police have been placed on high alert across the city, with robust security measures implemented to ensure public safety and maintain law and order. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, along with SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, and other senior officers, is personally monitoring the security arrangements in the field.
According to a police spokesperson, more than 7,500 officers and personnel have been deployed to perform security and traffic duties, while senior officials are also present on the occasion to check the security arrangements. He said the overall law and order situation in the city remains satisfactory due to the police’s effective security measures.
CPO Hamdani stated that Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi, and no illegal gathering or activity will be permitted under any circumstances.
The CPO warned that anyone found involved in law violations or disruptive activities will face strict legal action.
He urged citizens not to participate in any unlawful or provocative acts and to cooperate with police in maintaining peace and order. Hamdani added that all available resources are being utilized to ensure a peaceful environment in the city.
