LAHORE
By election will be held today (SUNDAY) in 6 constituencies of National Assembly and 7 constituencies of Provincial Assemblies.
The by-elections will be held in National Assembly constituencies NA-18 Haripur, NA-96 Faisalabad, NA-104 Faisalabad, NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sahiwal and NA-185 DG Khan.
The Punjab Assembly constituencies include PP-73 Sargodha, PP-87 Mianwali, PP-98 Faisalabad, PP-115 Faisalabad, PP-116 Faisalabad, PP-203 Sahiwal and PP-269 Muzaffargarh.
On the other hand Election Commission (EC) has issued a code of conduct for Pakistan army and civil armed forces during election duty.
According to code of conduct Police will be first, civil armed forces will be second and Pakistan armed forces will be 3rd tier responder in a QRF mode
Army will be deployed outside highly sensitive polling stations. Pakistan Army and civil armed forces will be deployed for the security of Printing Press of ballot papers.
