After high-anticipation the show aired on Geo TV and Ahmed Ali Akbar as Sanwal, Durefishan Saleem as Piya and Feroze Khan as Aliyar came on screens. The drama is gaining high TRPs and YouTube views and fans have also been comparing the performances of stars on the show. Ahmed Ali Akbar as Sanwal is the fan favourite as the actor has literally embodied the character. The mannerisms, diction and style this character possessed, has endeared him to fans at once. Danish Nawaz said that both the actors have done a great job in Sanwal Yaar Piya and there is no sense about one overpowering another. He said that Sanwal has a very strongly written character and Ahmed Ali Akbar has done a great job while portraying him. Feroze Khan’s Aliyar is different and the actor has done what was in the script to perfection. There is no comparison between the two and both have done the job they were given.
