Displaced families of Tirah disapproved of slow process and mismanagement of registration as fresh evacuation has been in progress from the Valley.
The displaced families said that after long travel, they arrived at the registration point, located at Paindi Cheena where they were compelled to wait for hours in cold weather with their women and children under an open sky to register properly.
It took three to four hours to get registration from the center in addition to hours long wait for security clearance at the forces checkpoint, they complained.
They criticized the authorities concerned for what they said were inadequate arrangements to deal with the influx of the Tirah evacuation and said even potable water and food were unavailable for them after travelling for tens of kilometers.
They urged to speed up registration and clearance process and ease sufferings of the Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs).
As per locals, most of the newly displaced people took shelter with their relatives in Bara while some obtained houses on rent.
The officials in Paindi Cheena center said that due to technical faults in the NADRA net system, the registration was slow and hectic efforts were underway to restore the system and quicken the process.
According to the district Khyber official so far 4322 families, comprising 5605 male,4801 female and 13281 children evacuated their homes in Tirah so far and have taken refuge in down towns.
