PESHAWAR
The verification process of videos related to the May 9 incidents in Peshawar has been completed.
The Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory (PFSL) analyzed the videos and audio-visual material and prepared a detailed report confirming the presence of Chief Minister Suhail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimur Jhagra and Irfan Saleem in the footage.
According to a report on Sunday, at the request of Peshawar Police, 16 videos obtained from a USB seized by Police Station Sharqi were examined frame by frame.
Most of the videos showed no evidence of editing. However, signs of logo and text additions and the joining of some clips were detected in a few videos.
PFSL clarified that the examination was limited strictly to visual material. The forensic report was prepared between December 19 and December 23, 2025.
The report states that profile photographs of Suhail Afridi, Irfan Saleem, Kamran Bangash and Taimur Jhagra were matched with individuals appearing in the videos, and the identities of all four were fully confirmed through visual analysis.
The Anti-Terrorism Court had sought a video verification report from the police in the Radio Pakistan attack case, after which Peshawar Police sent the visual material to the Punjab Forensic Science Laboratory for analysis.
