Rs4 billion relief package for Tirah affectees approved

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a relief package worth Rs4 billion for the affectees of the Tirah operation in Khyber district. According to the Finance Department on Wednesday, the funds have been released for depopulation-related activities in Tirah and will be utilized during the current fiscal year 2025–26.
The amount will be disbursed through the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). An official notification stated that the Rs4 billion will be kept in PDMA’s special deposit fund account and will not be transferred to any commercial bank account.
It was further clarified that all financial and regulatory requirements must be fulfilled before the utilization of the funds.
The relief package aims at supporting families affected by the Tirah operation and facilitate rehabilitation and related activities in the area.
