ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani on Wednesday said the opposition should move beyond conditions, engage in dialogue with the government and work together on the public agenda, expressing hope that opposition leaders would play a constructive role. While speaking to a local news channel, he said the opposition should move beyond conditions and engage in dialogue with the government. He expressed hope that newly emerged opposition leaders would work constructively in Parliament and help move forward on the public agenda. He mentioned that the dialogue process initiated under the Speaker’s leadership was halted due to the non-serious attitude of the PTI. Minister added that despite this, the prime minister had repeatedly extended offers for dialogue to resolve political issues through consultation. Kiyani appealed to opposition leaders to participate in talks earnestly and leave aside any preconditions, adding, maintaining a single, focused agenda was key to advancing the public interest.
