Six more children have succumbed to malnutrition and various diseases during the last five days in Tharparkar. As per media reports, these children were undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital Mithi. According to hospital sources these children were under treatment in the hospital due to various diseases and weak immune system.
The hospital sources said the number of child deaths due to different diseases in Mithi hospital has soared to 50 during one month. Home deliveries and low birth weight are stated by Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Mithi to be causes behind these deaths.
