All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association (PPDA) has announced to observe country wide strike after Eid ul Fitr. Vice chairman PPDA Tariq Hassan said government hiked prices of petroleum products in the darkness of night. Petroleum levy was enhanced by Rs 21, The remaining Rs 36 per liter went to whose pocket. Transparent investigation be conducted on hike to the tune of Rs 55.
Tariq Hassan said promise was made two years back that our margin will be increased which has not been enhanced so far.
Our purchasing cost of oil rose due to hike of Rs 55 per liter
in price of petrol. Benefits of billion of rupees was afforded to oil marketing companies.
PPDA leaders said if transparent investigation into hike in price of petroleum products is not conducted and our margin is not increased then we will go on strike from March 26 for indefinite period.
