As part of China Power Hub Generation Company (CPHGC)’s unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility and community welfare, CPHGC once again, this year distributed 300 ration bags among deserving families in Balochistan during the sacred month of Ramazan.
The initiative aims to support economically vulnerable communities and help ease the financial pressures faced by low-income households during the holy month.
Acknowledging the economic challenges experienced by many underprivileged families, CPHGC prepared carefully curated ration bags containing staple food items. Each package included flour, cooking oil, sugar, rice, lentils, Jam-e-Sheereen, mixed spices, sugar, milk, and tea. These essential items were selected to help families meet their basic needs and observe Ramadan with dignity and peace of mind. The initiative was designed to ease the burden on low income families and ensure that they could focus on the spiritual essence of Ramazan without worrying about food scarcity.
The ration bags were distributed in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Hub, the Balochistan Environmental Protection Agency (BEPA), and the Labor Department Balochistan. Beneficiaries included residents of villages surrounding the CPHGC power plant, with special attention given to widows, orphans, and elderly individuals who have limited or no sources of income. This coordinated effort demonstrates CPHGC’s strong partnership with local authorities and its deep rooted ties with the surrounding communities. By coordinating closely with government departments and community representatives, the company ensured that the assistance reached those who needed it the most in a transparent and organized manner.
Local administration and community members welcomed the initiative, observing that such timely support brings tangible relief to the financially challenged families during Ramadan. Community representatives expressed appreciation for CPHGC’s efforts, emphasizing that the company’s outreach programs continue to bring hope and comfort to many households in the region.
Beyond its Ramadan relief initiatives, CPHGC has built a strong track record of implementing impactful CSR programs across Balochistan. The company’s efforts in community development, education, environment, and social welfare have earned national recognition, including the NEPRA CSR Award and the NFEH CSR Award for Outstanding Programs, reinforcing its role as a responsible corporate partner committed to the long-term development and well-being of local communities.
