The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has announced that Friday will be observed as a normal working day for its essential staff in view of the ongoing financial year closing and the increased workload during the final quarter.
According to an official order issued by the authority’s headquarters here on Thursday, the decision aims to ensure uninterrupted progress of key financial and administrative operations, which are considered critical at this stage of the fiscal cycle.
The last quarter of the financial year is particularly significant for revenue collection, reconciliation and reporting, requiring enhanced operational readiness and staff availability.
Director General Irum Naz has directed all officers and officials designated as essential staff to strictly comply with the order and ensure their attendance on Fridays during regular working hours.
The directive has been communicated to all directors, collectors, additional collectors and relevant administrative personnel. Officials said the move is intended to strengthen institutional efficiency, meet revenue targets and ensure the timely completion of ongoing and pending assignments.
The authority reiterated its commitment to effective revenue administration and fiscal discipline in the province through proactive measures during the crucial closing phase of the financial year.
