Peshawar police, traders vow to ensure peaceful Muharram

PESHAWAR: The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Dr. Mian Saeed Ahmad chaired a meeting with a delegation of traders led by Zafar Khattak, President of the Peshawar City Traders’ Association, to discuss security arrangements for the upcoming Muharram. The meeting, also attended by SSP Operations Farhan Khan and SP City Shahid Adnan, focused on maintaining law and order, addressing issues faced by traders, and ensuring overall security of markets during the holy month. The CCPO said the police were taking practical steps to protect citizens and traders, and appreciated the cooperation between traders and law enforcement agencies. Traders thanked the police for additional security measures and assured full cooperation during Muharram. The CCPO directed that extra personnel be deployed in markets and emphasized that joint efforts between police, traders, and citizens were crucial for lasting peace in Peshawar. Crime Reporter
