SUJAWAL: In connection with World Malaria Day, the District Health Office (DHO) Sujawal in collaboration with NRSP organized an awareness walk to highlight the importance of malaria prevention and control. The walk commenced from DHQ Hospital Sujawal and concluded at the main road of Sujawal. The event was led by District Health Officer Dr. G. Farooque Chandio and witnessed active participation from health officials, health staff, community members and representatives of various NGOs. Addressing the participants, Dr. G.Farooque Chandio emphasized that malaria is a curable disease and can be effectively prevented through timely precautions. He stressed the importance of using Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNs) and encouraged the public to avail free fever testing services at their nearest health facilities. The awareness walk concluded at the main road, where Dr. Ashfaq Jafrani expressed his gratitude to all participants and reiterated the collective responsibility to combat malaria through awareness and preventive measures.
